A bezant voided charged with a roundel Gules within a roundel Or within a roundel Vert, the 3 roundels voided of a circlet of twelve 8-point mullets, the whole surmounted by an open parchment book charged per bend sinister with a bamboo reed proper, quill to base, and enarched above the book the Amharic letters አቡጊዳ Gules.
መሰረቱ ወፍራም የሆነ ወርቃማ ክብ ነው፡፡ አረንጓዴ፤ ቢጫና ቀይ ሪባን በወርቃማው ክብ ዙሪያ ይታያል፡፡ በሪባኑ ላይ 8 ሹሎች ያሏቸው 12 ኮከቦች ተቀምጠዋል፡፡ መሀል ላይ ባለው የብራና መጽሀፍ ላይ፤ ብርአማ የሸምበቆ ብዕር፤ የመጻፍያው ጫፍ ወደታች አዘንብሎ ተቀምጧል፡፡ ከመጽሀፉ በላይ በቀይ የተጻፉ ‘አቡጊዳ’ የሚሉ የአማርኛ ፊደላት ይታያሉ፡፡
